I was pleased to see some lend-lease stuff here. My dad was in the Merchant Marine, though he never made the Murmansk run.<\/p>\n

So I came out here because I read Google Maps reviews saying there were tanks here which were disabled during the Battle of Moscow, including one with its tracks where they fell. This, my friends, is a Tiger I, which wasn’t produced until August 1942. But wait, it gets better!<\/p>\n

In the center rear is a Sherman M4. A Sherman tank defending Moscow 1941-42? But wait: to the right is an M4A1!<\/p>\n
